Dancer & Hearne were furniture manufacturers, established by William Hearne in 1840. Their Penn Street factory created 450,000 chairs in 1938, but these originals were made in the 1960s, making them some of the last remaining chairs made by Dancer & Hearne after the company was sold to Parker Knoll in the 1970s.
